Glasgow, United Kingdom, 12 October 2010 —

ARCADIS UK, the international consultancy, design, engineering and management services company, has been recognised for is role in delivering PricewaterhoseCoopers’ fit-out at 141 Bothwell Street, Glasgow, after the project won the Best Fit-out of Workplace category from the British Council for Offices (BCO) at the National Awards on Tuesday 5 October 2010.

They received this for PricewaterhouseCoopers’ new £1.5m Glasgow office fit out for which ARCADIS provided Project Management, Cost Consultant and CDM Coordinator services. The project involved the fit out of circa 28,000sqft of shell specification office to Class A office specification and facilitated the relocation of PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Glasgow operations to a modern office environment.

The BCO awards judge buildings from a multi-dimensional point of view, considering the aesthetics and architectural construction as well as the economic and sustainable construction, and the way in which it meets the client’s brief. The judges commented that this PWC project “illustrates a keen understanding of its corporate and staff needs and displays its sophistication as a Client. The accurate delivery of the Client’s brief by the professional team has brought the entire project together”. The judges also commented that “in terms of value for money, it would be hard to find a better project at this year’s awards”.

Gary Logue, Director in charge of ARCADIS in Scotland outlined that “We are really proud that this project has received such a prestigious award from the BCO as it is an important recognition of ARCADIS’ work in Scotland and our blossoming relationship with the PWC delivery team . Our team of Stewart Ferguson, Craig McNeil and Andrew Bell have worked hard with the Client, Contractor and the rest of the design team to create best in class in difficult market conditions.”
