ARCADIS has won the prestigious Brownfield Briefing Award in the ‘Best In-Situ Treatment’ category for 2011. ARCADIS were awarded for its ground-breaking approach to the remediation of carbon disulphide using activated persulphate – a world’s first application.
ARCADIS successfully treated contaminated soil and groundwater using an innovative in-situ technique. This approach was an essential step in delivering a safe and lasting legacy for the site, and enabled the project to be delivered in a safe, rapid, cost effective and sustainable manner.
On winning the award, Todd Bechtel, Managing Director for ARCADIS Environment, said:

This project was about designing and delivering a safe, sustainable, cost effective in-situ approach. The Brownfield Briefing 2011 Awards ceremony was held in central London on 12 October.
